Research

Welcome to our laboratory, where we delve into the captivating intricacies of DNA and its role in cell functions throughout an organism’s lifecycle. We’re passionately dedicated to unraveling the tightly controlled systems governing access to genetic information, which include DNA recognition by transcription factors, nucleosome positioning, histone marks, and the three-dimensional arrangement of chromatin in the nucleus, among others. These mechanisms determine when specific genes are activated or silenced, playing critical roles in development, immune responses, and environmental adaptation, while disruptions can lead to various diseases, including cancer.

In addition, we also harness the power of single-cell genomic techniques and employ AI-driven computational methods to integrate genome-wide data from different biological systems. These innovative approaches enable us to explore the intricate details of individual cells within the context of their genetic makeup. By blending biology with cutting-edge technology, we unlock novel insights into the mysteries of life.

To unveil these mechanisms and their implications, we employ advanced techniques such as single-cell multiome, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, low-input Hi-C and Micro-C, and innovative AI-driven computational analysis, enabling us to examine the genome on a global scale and decode complex biological patterns.
